All telecommunication sites must have reliable, easy to maintain and preferably cost effective sources of energy in order to function properly and maintain communication. As part of our project roll-out activities Fstep provides all types of energy source solutions. Our energy portfolio offers suitable solutions for any energy requirement for different types of communication sites and geographic locations. Conventionally, the site is connected to the grid of the national electrical company, where we include the provision and installation of protective means such as lightening arrestors and AVR’s, high standard grounding system and standby diesel generators as a backup. However, the main challenge is to power sites in rural and remote areas where there no grid power.
